The meeco Equestrian Team has once again shown excellent performances. From 8th to 10th December, the show jumpers, sponsored by the international clean energy provider The meeco Group, participated in the XIV CSN* National Show-jumping event taking place at the installations of the Equestrian Riding Centre "Equital" in Alicante. In particular, the Holsteiner gelding OurSun Caretanos 2 proved his great potential by winning the Grand Prix (1.30 m) in a field of 19 competitors.

On Saturday 10th December, The meeco Equestrian Team showed its huge capacities during the highlight of the show jumping weekend – the 1.30 m Grand Prix. With a beautiful qualifying clear round and almost one-second lead in the jump-off, the eight-year-old gelding OurSun Caretanos 2 secured the victory in this class. The Hannoveraner mare OurSun Queeny Rubin also stayed clear and achieved an excellent third place after the jump-off.

In the “Small” Grand Prix (1.20 m) on Friday 9th December, the team coach Andrew Saether triumphed with the Irish sports horse OurSun Crusanna. After having qualified for the jump-off, he proved to be unbeatable and secured the win with the fastest jump-off round without faults. These brilliant results were complemented by the third position of the Holsteiner stallion Sun2safe C’est le Boss in the 1.30 m class.

“The competition in Equital marks the successful conclusion of an outstanding year for our team. Looking back at the impressive results we have achieved in 2016, we are very pleased with the progress of our team and are looking forward to continuing our work to reach top performances next year as well”, states team coach Andrew Saether. The experienced show jumper takes care of The meeco Equestrian Team since March 2016 and has reached with his team a series of excellent classifications, such as the exceptional family triumph at the Valencian Championships in October, to name just one example. With regards to the next season, the show jumpers are motivated to further improve and reach their full potential.
